Buc-ee‘s is like a WalMart dropped out of school and became a gas station.

 

We hit the Buc-ee’s outside of Terrell, TX on the I20. From the highway it looked just another truck stop on our journey east.  As we stepped inside it was immediately apparent that we were mistaken.

We were wrong.  Buc-ee’s is not a truck stop. It’s the World’s Largest Convenience Store.  We had walked into the chain’s second largest store.

Buc-ee’s at I-35 exit 191 in New Braunfels, is the largest convenience store in the World. Currently has 60 gasoline pumps but you can see the construction of another 60 pumps so it will have 120 gasoline pumps.   A whole wall of drinks – a huge wall of refrigerated drinks. Computer sandwich ordering system. The bathrooms are advertised to be the cleanest in America – likely the world – huge number of urinals and stalls in the men’s room – there will never be a line.
