Overreaction to perceived personal insult.
I actually thought the thread was clever. Since I had not written a word of it it was plagiarism. Since I used it as a substitute post rather than write something it was self-serving (to me).
Blatant- Obvious, not in need of further explanation.
Maybe not so blatant or it wouldn’t need an explanation or defense.

As a result of this chain of events, I will now have to start a movement and dedicate my life to activism to try and prevent something like this from ever happening again, refusing to talk realistically about it, even with people that agree with me or might help further my cause.
