You Won’t Have Obama to Kick Around Anymore

Not so fast.

The fanatic opposition to the Trump Administration seems to be coming from an interesting direction.  As President Trump barrels headlong into his destruction of the Obama Legacy, Barry seems to be fighting back.

We suggest you follow the links offered.  There is a lot of information.

From The Office of Barrack and Michelle Obama:

Okay, sounds good.

At the bottom of their site is a link to Organizing for Action.  This is a re-branding of Barry’s Organizing for America site.

Quote:

“OFA is committed to mobilizing and training the next generation of progressive organizers and leaders, because real, lasting change doesn’t just happen on its own—it requires a program, it requires organizing, and it requires people like you.

With grassroots chapters in neighborhoods across the country, OFA volunteers are building this movement from the ground up, person to person, community by community—because democracy isn’t a spectator sport.”

I’ve highlighted the word “train”.

More:

“OFA is dedicated to empowering progressive talent at every level. From first-time student organizers to organizing professionals and community leaders, we’re here to equip folks with the skills and tools that can help them turn their passion into action.”

What is the OFA?

Chairman Jim Messina (Obama’s 2012 campaign manager)[8] and First Lady Michelle Obama announced the formation of OFA on January 18, 2013. White House official Jon Carson left the Obama administration to become the executive director. Campaign senior adviser David Axelrod serves as a consultant.[9]

Who Funds the OFA?

Since the beginning of the 2014 campaign cycle last year, 14 donors — running the gamut from a hedge fund manager to a gay rights activist to a little-known Salt Lake City venture capitalist — have given $100,000 or more to President Barack Obama’s avowedly “un-campaign” committee, Organizing for Action. Another 26 have ponied up $10,000 or more. Get the names of the donors here

of the Washington Times had this to say.

Last month, Messina and others said in private meetings that they planned to solicit corporate funds and disclose donations using only broad monetary ranges, rather than specifying the amounts. The approach drew heavy criticism from campaign finance reform leaders who asserted that Obama was effectively reneging on his campaign pledge to clean up Washington’s big-money political culture. What is the Obama Foundation?

“The greatness of our Nation requires the full and active participation of an engaged and vibrant citizenry.”

That’s on the Obama Foundation splash page. Then they ask you to join.

What are These Groups Goals?

  1. Support of a True Democracy in America. It’s time for some citizen activism to help America break free of its 18th-century antidemocratic anchor. I’m talking about the Electoral College, of course. -Boston Globe
  2. To train individual citizens as “progressive community organizers”.
  3. To organize and train “progressive” organizers and “join a long line of progressive organizers in the fight for a better future”.
  4. To fight, resist or reverse anything Trump Administration does that would be adverse in any way to the Progressive Agenda of the Democratic Party and Obama’s legacy of “Hope and Change”.

So What?

If you you agree with the Progressive Agenda, you might want to know what “progressive” really means.  Odds are that if you are a committed Progressive, you blew off that last link.  Allow us to quote.

“The contemporary left holds that non-socialist societies are composed largely of dominators and the dominated, oppressors and the oppressed. The alleged cause of this social arrangement is the economic system of free-market capitalism, which is viewed by the left as the root of all manner of social ills and vices — racism, sexism, alienation, homophobia, imperialism.”

“To eliminate America’s inherent injustices, the left seeks to invert the power hierarchy, so that the groups now said to be oppressed become the privileged races and classes (and gender) of the new social order. The left’s quest to transform the “dominated” into dominators, and vice versa, draws its inspiration from the Communist Manifesto, which asserts that ‘[t]he history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggle.'”

“But because their credibility and self-confidence was so deeply shaken by their backing of the Vietnam War, these genuine liberals were unable to hold the line against attacks from the New Left “progressives,” and they lost not only their party but also the term which had defined their principles.”

The Good Part

When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.– The New York Post

The OFA in Action

Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz held a town hall-style forum at Brighton High School in Cottonwood Heights on Thursday, Feb. 9. Here’s the event in its entirety, taken from The Salt Lake Tribune’s Facebook Livestream.

Congressman Jason Chaffetz  (Utah, R) blamed his harsh reception at a recent town hall on “a paid attempt to bully and intimidate.”-CNN

This organized, sometimes violent “resistance” of a standing government is reminiscent of Beer Hall Putshe of 1923.  No, I’m not calling Obama Hitler.  They are on opposite extremes of the political spectrum.  I am saying that Obama and more importantly, the people behind him are very smart.  They are clearly using the Nazi and Communists templates that have been used successfully in history to overthrow properly elected governments.

Bush is an idiot.

Trump is a racist.

Obama is a great leader.

A basic condition for the necessary expansion of political agitation is the organization of comprehensive political exposure.

Lenin, What Is To Be Done?, “Political Exposures And ‘Training In Revolutionary Activity’” (1901)

This struggle must be organized, according to “all the rules of the art”, by people who are professionally engaged in revolutionary activity. The fact that the masses are spontaneously being drawn into the movement does not make the organization of this struggle less necessary. On the contrary, it makes it more necessary.

Lenin, The Primitiveness of the Economists and the Organization of the Revolutionaries (1901)

Attention, must be devoted principally to raising the workers to the level of revolutionaries; it is not at all our task to descend to the level of the “working masses.”
