Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen
left a cooler full of bait in the plane.
Every now and then a Loyal Reader emails us something that must be repeated. So with a tip of the hat to “Rick” we give you this:
Kettle Valley , British Columbia- Every year they have to deal with some pretty weird stuff. This year a bear had been bothering the herd and I guess enough was enough.
A black bear tried to cut through a pasture and got too close to the cow herd. This turned out to be a very big mistake on his part.
The calving records of both cows who are so aggressive in these photos show they are both good, calm cows and have given no troubles whatsoever. It should be noted that they have a very distinct dislike of bears.
“I-12” recovered from her wounds. Neither hide nor hair of the bear was ever seen again.
NO COWS WERE HARMED (MUCH) DURING THIS POST.
CAN’T SAY THE SAME FOR THE BEAR.
